OUR STAFF TEAM
We have incredible staff here at West Chester Cru. These men and women serve full-time to ensure that every student has an opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel. You can read a little about them here, but they would love to meet you in person at some of our Cru events on campus.
JON AND AMANDA RUCH
Jon is a West Chester alum, and has been on staff with Cru here since 2011. He serves as our team leader. Amanda graduated from Penn State, where college ministry changed her life. She now serves part time on the team and spends the rest of her days with their four children: Quinn, Molly, Halle, and JP.
They love spending time outdoors, their Friday night family movie nights, and vacationing in Maine as a family every summer.
HANNAH MADERA
Hannah graduated from George Mason University in 2011 and has been on staff at WCU since 2016. She's married to Jesse, who she met while on a Cru mission in Venezuela. Hannah's life was transformed during her freshman year, and now she loves connecting with other freshman girls to share about what it means to follow Jesus.
In her free time (aside from wrangling her 4 kids), she enjoys reading, napping, gardening, good coffee, and collecting pokemon cards!
LEEANN HERRING
LeeAnn graduated from West Chester University in 2016 with a degree in Business Management and Finance and has been on staff with Cru ever since.
She is married to Matt and they have a two kids: Matthew and Piper. LeeAnn loves woodworking, spreadsheets, espresso drinks, learning new things, and spending lots of time with her family.
MICAH RUCH
AMY BOGAN
Amy graduated from Penn State in 2019 and has been on staff with Cru since. She has served with Cru in Philadelphia and the Middle East and is excited to settle into the quaint town of West Chester.
Amy loves to run, watch Penn State football, read mysteries, and explore different coffee shops.
EVE RHODEN
MATT & ELENA PAVONE
Matthew and Elena graduated from West Chester University in 2025, where they were both deeply involved as student leaders. After graduation, they felt called to continue investing in college students and decided to pursue college ministry together on West Chester's campus.
Matthew enjoys golfing, fishing, hunting and connecting with freshman guys on campus. Elena loves making espresso drinks, baking, hosting dinner parties, and going on coffee dates with her bible study girls.
